Mo/di twins - identical?

Question

Had our 12 week week appt today and ultrasound tech said they were mo/di twins.  When I asked if that meant they were identical, she said it was too early to tell. I thought mo/di twins were always identical?

Mine are and that's what my MFM told me. Did the doctor tell you that or nurse? Because at first when I was told mo/di over the phone I asked if that was identical and she said no. Well after more trips to the doctor and my MFM yes it's identical. Congratulations
