Vasectomy-IVF

Hi, I am new to this group. I am 40 years old, I have a 12 years old from my past marriage and my husband (45) has 2 kids. He had a vasectomy few years ago. We talk with our doctor and she told us that our option to have a baby would be a TESA and IVF which is so expensive! I know I have to do some test to figure our chances of success. But what I am reading online is very low around 20%. For those of you that have done IVF after a vasectomy with no infertility problem but at 40 what was your prognostic? Did you get pregnant the first time? Thank you so much!
