My mom tried to make me promise to get on birth control. Im 19 married, and have my own home. I quit 3 months ago because i didn't feel in control of my body and recently me and my husband have talked about ttc. Is it wrong for her to push birth control?

sorry but I read where it says you're a military spouse. for me affording a child and living was super easy while my husband was in the military. I've been on tricare all my life literally because of my dad and husband. plus with housing allowance you should be able to save pretty well each month. has your mom said as to why she's pushing birth control? she may just worry that your spouse will deploy or something and you'd be alone with the child. or maybe that you're young. just do what's best for you. if you are ready, financially, emotionally, mentally, and physically then do it. there's only 2 opinions that matter on having a child/stopping birth control to conceive. that's your opinion and your spouse's.

Definitely recommend baby with tricare lol, we had our son before he got out of the military and total cost was $55. Financially it's a good decision. If you guys are ready then it doesn't matter what your mom wants

From your comments your mom sounds very controlling. My husband is also in the military! I can see her fears about you being so far away while being pregnant but you do have your husband. Her trying to force birth control on you is ridiculous. You can go to school and have a baby. Check into MyCAA if you're looking to go back to school too! People don't really understand the military life if they're not associated with the military. While your mom is being a fruit cake about not wanting you to have a baby try to understand her, she's doing the best she can.

BTW this has nothing to do with maturity. She's afraid that I'm going to get pregnant and she won't be there. she lives in Arkansas and I live in Washington state. She has an attachment to me that I don't have towards her anymore bc I realized she's more than a little controlling. She knows that I want to go to school but doesn't know that I want a baby too. Who said I can't do both? She's always pushed birth control and college on me. She even told me to stop having sex with my HUSBAND!
