Diaphragmatic Hernia

I don't normally post anything on these types of apps or forums, but my baby has a severe Diaphragmatic Hernia. His stomach, intestines, and liver are up in his chest. His diaphram hadn't formed properly so there is a large hole in it allowing his organs to be up in the chest. They are pushing over his heart to right side of his chest and preventing his lungs from developing properly. If he survives the surgery to repair the hole he only has a 40-60% chance of survival, with a large possibility of mild to severe disabilities. Before anyone tries to accuse me of any wrong doing, or throw out any negative comments, just know I am not a drug or alcohol user. Multiple Drs and specialists assured me that this is a defect that just happens. There was nothing what so ever I could have done to prevent this from happening. This pregnancy is also a major miracle for me. I have endometriosis and PCOS, and finally pregnant for the 1st time at 36 years old. This whole experience has been a major roller coaster for me. I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this defect personally, or knew of anyone that has. How did you/they deal with it, and what was the outcome for the child?
