Is this weird?

ok so my partner and I had are mommy and daddy time and in the mist of it he calls me by name as if to get my attention, (when he already had my undivided attention) pauses for a moment in his own thoughts but he didn't slow down or stop and then says "I don't know what I'am". I believe he didn't mean for me to hear what he said, but I can't figure out why he would say it or what he meant. To be honest I liked the fact that he was at a loss for words.
