How do you guys believe you know when you’re in love? Interested to see where this could go.

I've been in a relationship for almost a month after over a year and a half of being single. I had a rough first relationship, I talked to another guy after him, we hung out and kissed and we called it dating and in love. It lasted barely 2 weeks so really we weren't. I was just his rebound. So I've had issues with the whole concept of "in love". But I know I am in love with this man. Best friend since third grade, he's had feelings for me this whole time. I can tell him and text him I love him no problem, but when I think "I love him" it takes my breath away and kinda knocks me back a little. I know it ain't a like anymore. It's love, real love.
