Charlotte Marie. 7.3 lbs of awesome!

My contractions started at 8am and were immediately 1 min long and 5 minutes apart. Since I was group b strep positive I went right the the hospital and was already 5 cm. Over the next few hours i dilated about 1 cm an hour and was progressing really well! I got stuck at 8-9 cm for many hours because baby girls position was a little awkward. At that my contractions were on top of each other and I wasn't getting any reprieve. I essentially stopped progressing further becuase I just could not relax. Although I hadn't generally planned on using medicine based pain relief, I decided at that point I needed something to help me finish the job and got an intrathecal. I am so very happy I made that choice and after pushing for 1.5 hrs I had my beautiful little girl in my hands! We are over the moon!!
