Cervical Sweep? Labor?

I went to the doc today. I’m 38 weeks and I’m 2cm dilated, and my doc did a cervical sweep. He said she should come this week, if not by Monday then he will set a date to induce me. I’ve been having a lot of pressure in my vaginal and lower back area since. Ladies how long after you had a cervical sweep did you go into labor?

The sweep worked really quick on me. I had it done yesterday around 2 pm Andy water broke by 10 pm. I’m in active labor now.

I think my water just broke. I had 2 little leaks but when I tried to get out the car it was like a goosh of water. I’m not sure if it broke or if I’m loosing fluid.

I'm 40 weeks today and have a sweep this afternoon so hopefully it works! Fingers crossed!

I have had 2 sweeps, and no labor. Not a guarantee!

I have my 40 week apt tomorrow and I’m gonna get a sweep. Hopefully it makes this little guy come. I really don’t want to be induced. Hopefully it works for you!

Can I ask what’s a cervical sweep? If I’m getting tightness around my lower adomen more and more does that mean something?

Had mine done at 39 weeks and nothing. Had it done again today at my 40 week, and so far nothing... I guess it's not gonna work for me!
