Never had long distance HELP!

My boyfriend and I have been together for 2 years. We've lived together since the very beginning so I'm used to having him around 24/7. He got a job that requires him to travel when he gets a call, it could last weeks to months. The job he's on now lasts for 8 months and is 5 hours away. Before he got this job he worked nights, I also work from home so again we'd be with each other 24/7, sometimes I even went to work with him. He is coming down every weekend but I just don't know how to handle these emotions. I'm a hopeless romantic, love him to pieces and don't know what to do when he's gone. I'm like a lost puppy right now. Trust me I know I sound ridiculous, I just need help! Any and all advice would be great!! I want to know everything!!
