Has anyone's significant other done skin to skin contact?

I'm scheduled for my second c-Section next month. We went on a maternity ward tour at the hospital I'm delivering at, the nurse said since I cannot hold the baby for about 30 minutes after birth, my husband can do it first. Has anyone else experienced this? What was it like? I want to breastfeed when can I feed after a c-Section? This wasn't offered with my last baby.

I breastfed my kids immediately after csection. Had skin to skin while they sewed me up with my last (that's a doctor thing).... my husband did hold them first but that would probably happen on normal birth too bc you still have to deliver the placenta and stuff. You just tell the staff/nurses that day you plan to breast feed so no pacifier and want baby as soon as you enter recovery to nurse
