If my boyfriend doesn't like me why won't he let me leave

This is going to sound like I'm 16, and I'm not I'm almost 23.

So I would like to start off by saying i am aware i am in an abusive relationship I am aware I should leave.

So my boyfriend treats me like garbage everyday. Anything and everything I say is annoying. He refuses to help me with things as simple as killing a spider, he tells me to do it myself ( my arachnophobia is crippling I leave my house for days if I lose a spider) calls me all sorts of names and tells me he doesn't want to be with me.

When I ask him to hang out even after all of that he responds with why don't you call some other guy (and then makes me feel bad/ guilty for sitting at home alone)

Or if he says we're done and I just so much as hang out with a guy I get text calling me a wh*re.

I'm just wondering why If someone doesn't like you as much as he doesn't like me, why doesn't he want me hanging out with anyone else.

And why do I feel bad when I do, if I get fed up and try to leave he is all of the sudden "heartbroken" and at my house crying real tears in my bed *he doesn't cry often. Why am I not aloud anyone else
