Pregnant... Flu shot???

So I'm 11.4 weeks and it's mandatory to get the flu shot for work.  But I have second thoughts about getting it since I haven't got one with my last pregnancy, (do to him arriving early) and scared that it'll make me even more sick. I already can't keep anything down yet with this shot I feel like it'll just make me worse ... Are there any other mothers that are against getting the flu shot as well or have got the shot and was fine after?

I’m getting it. I’m an intensive care nurse and looked after people who came in with flu. We had a pregnant lady a few years ago and both and her baby died. It’s worth feeling a bit groggy for but really you should just get a bit of a sore arm if anything!

I had mine and it was totally fine! Plus you’ll know you’re further protected from all the people out here who are sick.

It's completely up to you and what you're comfortable with. I'm a nurse in a local ER and we have had a ton of influenza A already come in this year so I went ahead and got it around 9 weeks. I am now 11 weeks 4 days with no issues yet and didn't get sick from it. I also have stage 4 cancer and am really cautious about what I put in my body and what vaccines i take, etc... since we have been seeing so much flu already the past couple months I decided to go ahead and get it due to how much I'm exposed to it.

I have never had a flu shot and was back and forth getting one, I finally decided I'm going to get one because I work around enough people it's better to have that little bit of extra support just in case!!

I got a flu shot last pregnancy and I did not get the flu that year nor any side effects from the shot. I'm 11 weeks now, and I'll be getting my shot for this year next week. The flu can be very serious for your fetus, much more dangerous than the flu shot itself (unless you have certain allergies). Talk to your OB and see what she o he says.

I got mine at my OB on my first visit and I was fine. My work also gave them and they were mandatory. Nobody in my office got sick just complained of a sore arm haha but  I’d ask your OB if you’re not sure.

I had mine done this morning after my night shift. I'm a maternity care assistant and again see all and come into contact with different stuff. It is very much personal choice but I've *touch wood* never had side affects of the jab myself x
