Got hired as a assistant teacher in daycare for those who are familiar any tips?

I start on the 12 of this month and I am excited but nervous at the same time. I just graduated college and took all my early childhood development classes but I am nervous at the same time 😩

I have to say I did childcare for 12 years. They cannot teach that in a book. Trial and error with kids. Everyday is different. Kids attitudes determine the day. Parents are the biggest pain in the butt when it comes to this. I'm not being rude just real. The best thing you can do is establish relationships with the parents and I've noticed things go smoother. Also don't step on the head teachers toes. Let her be lead just help. Should go without saying but it happens, you'll be fine! Remember to look at it like I did. It's playing with kids for pay! I enjoyed it but got burned out.

I did that in high school.  I took the whole corse and got my cda.  it was fun and we always had to change daycare ever grading period.  My best advice is let the children warm up to you. you can't make a child like you by presser

Be ready for all types of children, well behaved, not at all, and even autistic children. Bring an extra pair of clothes because you might run into a not very well behaved child that decides to pour something on you. Lol 
I wouldn’t recommend jewelry either. Lol
