Dont know if its sex or making love

My husband and I are frequently intimate. Every time we are intimate i take it as making love! I tell him I love him all the time and not only when we are together, but even if we are fighting I end discussion with I love you. But I think he has never made love to me, and he's only having sex he gets to come and most of the times I don't, than he can turn around and go straight to bed, I always look for a hug a kiss goodnight or simply I love but that never happens. How do I even know he's still in love with me? I mean besides him buying me things. More like how do I know he's still in to me 🤷🏻‍♀️ and not just with me sexually to satisfy his needs.
