How many prenatal vitamins do you take a day?

I’ve seen posts and videos of women that take more than 1 prenatal vitamin a day. I was wondering why? And is it safe to do this? I personally take 1 prenatal vitamin a day & an iron pill because my iron is low

Read the bottle. Some are one a day, some aren't.

Well I have the gummy one a days...but that's actually two you have to take lol. And since it doesn't have dha or iron, I'm taking those separately. So six vitamins altogether. But they're gummy so I keep them down really well. Make me swallow a pill and we're not getting very far.

The kind I take is just one per day, but some have a dose of several spread throughout the day. I've heard it's easier on your stomach that way because each one is less concentrated. But just follow the dosage on the ones you have. Taking more than the recommended dose can do more harm than good, even with something as seemingly harmless as vitamins!

I take a regular prenatal that my OB prescribed and a DHA supplement since my prenatal doesn't have it. I also take probiotics to keep me regular and yeast infections at bay. I wouldn't double up on prenatals, as too much of a certain vitamin is actually harmful to baby, like vitamin A.

I take two as that’s the recommended dose of the pills I take. I would just read the bottle as you don’t want to make yourself sick.

I take 4 because that’s the serving size on the gummy prenatals I had to get because they’re the only thing I can keep down right now. I gagged every time I tried to swallow the regular horse pills haha.

mine state 1-2 a day! My dr recommended I take 2 and also extra Iron as my vitamin levels whilst im pregnant drop rapidly! Due to my morning sickness I cant stomach much food either so need to eat more vitamin packed foods also.

I switched to a prenatal that is food based and is 3 pills for 1 daily serving because the once a day was upsetting my stomach. Also, I would pee neon yellow with the one a Day vitamins which means my body was not absorbing all of the nutrients.

The prenatal vitamins I bought(same I used for my first pregnancy) instruct you to take three a day but my OB sent me home with one to try and it's just one a day. Could just be a difference in dice per pill.
