Not all labors are bad π€

I finally get the chance to tell my labor story. a little late, but hey...i've been taking care of my beautiful baby girl. ππππ I read alot of birth stories on here throughout my pregnancy and most stories seemed to be horror stories, and others were minor issues but none the less, they had me very nervous for delivery. So... I wanted to share my experience, and let you know it can be an amazing experience and go smoothly! My due date was October 2nd, and I had a scheduled induction on October 3rd. I woke up Monday morning (October 2nd) around 1:45 am with some bad contractions. I started timing them and they were already 1 minute long and 3 minutes apart. I woke up my husband and he started getting everything together. at 2:30 am I was trying to get ready..I just put pants on and my water broke π€£. My poor husband had to help me get changed again and then we were off. I will say that the contractions are very painful, but worth it. We got to the hospital and I was admitted by 3:00 am. I was checked and I was only 3 cm dilated. π£The nurses checked and my water did indeed break. Within the next 15 minutes I was already dilated to 5 cm and the nurses called for the epidural. the Dr. got there a little while later and gave me an epidural. It wasn't painful at all π once I was laid back (about 25 minutes later) my nurse checked me again, and I was already at 9 1/2 cm. Within the next 15 minutes I started pushing. i pushed for about 35 minutes and was told we had to wait for the Dr. not to push or anything. we waited for about an hour for the dr. (he was in surgery) He finally came in, and i started pushing...after 3 rounds of pushing 3 times, at 8:13 am my beautiful girl was born. I had a slight tear and got 2 stitches. My labor lasted about 5 hours. It was an incredible experience and I have one of the biggest blessings one could ask for. Scarlett Rose born October 2nd (on her due date) weighing 6 lbs 14 oz. 19 1/2 inches long.
