Membrane stripping??

What are your thoughts? Yes or no?
Currently sitting at 37-38 weeks, 1cm dilated and 60-70% effaced. Should I ask for it? How long after getting the procedure done did you ladies go into labor? Sorry FTM and want to hear from y’all!

I went into labor the next day! I was only 1 cm and 39+4 when they did it.

I'm probably no help but got it done with my son but it didn't do anything for me. I was nervous when I got it done

I got it done twice second time water broke that night

I had mine done 3 times and it did nothing but put me in a lot of pain and false labor. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t 💁🏻 it’s a personal decision but keep in mind it does hurt lol

I had it done at 39weeks, I went into labor on the way home from having it done. 
Was worth it to me, and will be requesting it this time if possible as well. 
Wasn't awful at all. :)

At 38 weeks I was 4cm dilated and 66% effaced and it didn't work for me. But I will definitely ask for a sweep again and hope it works.
