Membrane sweep?

I was told today at my appointment I have the option of having a membrane sweep next appointment at 38 weeks. I think I might, i have HG and I've also been being monitored for borderline low fluid. Wanted to hear if it worked for you guys and if you recommend it?

had my membranes swept at 39 weeks went into labor less than 48 hours later.

Had mine w last baby was horrific in terms of pain and while labor did start I think it's the reason my birth was so awful and traumatic. If you have health reasons do what is best for baby always. Unless I have a medical need I wont allow any induction this time

I'm 38+3 only dilated to 1 so far soft cervix but high how many a cms do u have to be for he dr to try?

I had mine done Wednesday 
Had quiet of bit of bleeding after
Then that evening and Thursday lots a lot of a bloody show like a lot
And here I am Friday morning just begging for contractions lol

My neighbor had hers done Monday and went into labor on Tuesday lol. I’ll take one the second they offer it!

I think if you’re borderline fluid I’d consider! Plus you get the baby sooner!😄

I had my membranes swept with my first and in less than 24 hours labor had started. But That was done the day before my due date. My Dr refused to do it before the 39th week. It wasn't painful for me but I've heard for some women it's pretty uncomfortable.
