Can birth change PCOS?

Hi ladies. I used to get my period like once a year and it was the lightest flow ever. Then I got pregnant (IUI with Letrozol), and a year after giving birth (also when stopped breastfeeding) I got my period HEAVILY. I've gotten it 3 times since, fairly regularly, all heavy. This is such a change for me! Can giving birth reset your reproductive system? I hope this means maybe I somehow got "normal". But maybe it just means my PCOS is just acting differently?

Mine definitely did. Before my first son, I only 'bled' (wouldn't even call it a period) once every 6 months. I was taking Clomid to induce ovulation and conceived in the sixth month. Since he was born 5 years ago, my periods have been very regular (for me anyway), ranging between 28 and 35 days, and I'm currently on my third pregnancy without the need of any medical intervention.

Ever since I had my son, my symptoms have become almost non existent. I've lost 75 lbs with almost a scary amount of ease in comparison to how hard it was for me before and have had very regular periods since I got them back. It seems so bizarre, but it's been so nice that I'm not about to question it lol.

Yes pregnancy can effect PCOS. My MD said it can enhance the symptoms. Before pregnancy I would have a period every other month now a year after baby I haven't had one in 6 months (not breastfeeding) also all my other symptoms kicked it up a notch too.
