People are so rude!

Katie

I don't know what it is about pregnancy that makes people lose their filter ( if they ever had one ). So far I have been asked and told:

- You weren't trying to have a kid, was it an accident? (My husband and I have been married for 6 years, together for 11... no it is not an accident, and I wouldn't go announcing that we were trying, it's really no ones business- not to mention I barely talk to this person)

- you're only having a kid to make your husband happy (I'm sorry, what??? I didn't even know how to respond. And then I overheard this co-worker say this again to my other co-workers)

- oh wow, I remember when you got married how people talked about how long you'd last. But now you're having a baby (again, what??? So I guess our 11 year relationship meant nothing unless we have a kid to validate it?)

- you don't know what it's like to be tired/uncomfortable (I think after working 14 hours overnight at 33 weeks pregnant I've got a pretty good idea)

- you're huge, you'll never make it to your due date (thanks, I've gained 25 pounds so far...I didn't think that was that bad for 33 weeks)

- emails with sermons on raising a child from my mother in laws church that she is forever trying to force down our throats. If I wanted it, I would have asked. She's been told to back off multiple times...

The farther along I get, the shorter my fuse becomes! One day I'm going to snap right back and tell someone about themselves. I just need to make sure I keep my job when I do it! ***sigh***

What have you been told that makes you shake your head or roll your eyes? I can't be the only one!
