Weekly visits to labor and delivery

It’s confirmed..I’ll be doing weekly visits to labor and delivery to get an iron infusion. Process takes 5 hours!!! 😩 I’ll have to go until my iron level reaches a 12...and I’m starting at a 9..went up a little since last time though. Hopefully I won’t have to go more than a couple times...fingers crossed. To those who have gotten iron infusions, what is the process like? Do you feel any different during or after the process? Just wanna get an idea of what to expect..
