Ingrown hair (inner lip ares / labia minora). Help!

found these little small bumps in the inner lips (labia minora?) went to the doctor and she said it was ingrown hair and it's nothing to worry about. I totally forgot to ask if there's anything I can do to get rid of it/prevent it - and she didn't really tell me anything besides keep an eye out if it's gets bigger.

anyone has similar experiences? same thing happening to them and what are you doing / using to help with it or anything? I'm just making sure it's clean, just water, and making sure I don't wipe aggressively or anything. I've stopped shaving long time ago, and usually just trim. not sure if I should stop that now or it will actually help if I do trim.
