Eye infection?

My 9 week old sons eye has been this way for about 5 days and I can't get in to see the pediatrician for another 2 weeks 😒 His left eye wells up constantly and forms yellow crusty sleep. I try to give him warm washes with salt water but it hasn't been helping. The rest of his eye is fine as far as I can tell. anyone know what this is? thanks

Its probably just a clogged tear duct, just use a warm was cloth to clean (no salt!!) and you can gently massage the inner part of his nose bridge upward it will help, also a little breastmilk if you are bfing

Whyyyyyy is it a 2 week wait? If you have a 'sick' issue, they're supposed to be able to get you in within 24-48 hours. They specifically keep slots open for this.

So, since you are stuck waiting... If you are nursing, breastmilk is supposed to help as a natural antibiotic or something for eye infections. Like, you just squirt it gently in the eye. Good luck!

We did breast milk which worked wonders... but then when it spread to both eyes for some odd reason my breast milk wasn’t doing the job... we found some eye drops made out of Camomile and that cleared up our LO’s infection within that same day! Hasn’t come back since... just turned 9months...
