should he not have solids anymore

so my son is almost 11 months old. he loves normal table food now and has eaten them with no problem for the past 3 months. well tonight he was having some noodles and deli meat. something happened to where the noodle go caught in his throat and he started choking and i know first aid so i did what i knew i had to do and got it out of his throat. well my husband is at work so i called him and told him what happened and he started yelling at me and telling me "not to f*cking argue with him" and that he cant eat table food anymore. he has 6 teeth and this is the first incident to ever occur. i sit with him everytime hes eating as well so hes always supervised. should i listen to my husband and just not feed him solid food anymore ? he wont eat baby food he hates it.
