Finally!

It finally happened! After 9 months of trying, we got a positive!

I waited 7 days after my missed period to try and avoid disappointment and was a roller coaster of emotions when (after 10 seconds) saw the blue positive.

I was in shock, then crying with joy, then started panicking a little wondering if I had been treating my body right and questioning every drink I've had in the last 3 weeks (only 1 I think?).

I wanted to do something special to tell my husband we were expecting with our first, so after getting ready for work I hopped in the car and bought a card, a little onesie that says, "Daddy's Little Princess" (the only thing I could find that said daddy. If the baby is a boy he will be sporting a pink onesie at least once lol), and wrapped it all up in gift wrap along with the positive test.

It was tough, but I waited until I got off work to surprise my husband. I wanted to call him or text him sooo bad! I was just bursting with excitement when I walked in the door. I sat him down on the couch and handed him the gift bag. I told him to open the card first and waited (impatiently) for him to read it. Of course, it didn't take him long to get ideas because there are teddy bears covering the front of the card.

I will never forget the look on his face and the sound of his voice when he said, "You're pregnant?!"

I started ugly crying.

We went to dinner to celebrate and couldn't stop talking about how hard it will be to wait to tell family and what names we love.

It has been a tough 9 months, but girls, it happened! And it will happen for you. Stay positive (I know it can be really hard), but you can do it!

I have to add that the first time we used the Pre-Seed fertility lube, I got pregnant. If I could give any advise, it would be to go out and buy that little bottle of gold.
