Ugh my job pay

The job I work at now (I have tons of prior experience in this field) and they pay me a little less than $9 an hour. Minimum wage in the state I live I believe is $7.25 (Iowa) and I'm a little annoyed because at the Walmart in my town they're hiring and pay their employees $9 an hour and up....shoot the night stockers there make $10.20 an hour...now there is absolutely NOTHING wrong in my opinion if you work at Walmart. I'm honestly actually thinking of applying now! It's just crazy to me because the line of work I'm in (hospitality) is somewhere you'd think you'd make more than someone at Walmart. I don't mean this to be rude or anything, I'm just saying. It's crazy to me.
