IUI timing after positive OPK

My OB said to call the office the day I get my positive opk and then schedule to do my IUI the next day. I'm doing a completely natural cycle and have been reading through all of these threads...my worry is that it might be too soon since we are using frozen sperm and they only live about 12 hours.
