baby sitter had a miscarriage

i’m in a complicated situation and i’m not sure how to feel or what to do. my baby sitter told me recently (maybe 2-3 weeks ago) that she was having a miscarriage and she didn’t even know she was pregnant. i’ve been through a miscarriage before but i know they’re not all the same. the day she told me, i gave her the week off and she wanted to come back the next monday. she came back but she missed a friday, she did not tell me she wasn’t going to make it in and when i asked her why she wasn’t there, she said she was sick and she couldn’t get to wifi or phone until now but when i looked at her “active __ minutes ago” she was active an hour before i asked her, so she lied to me and then didn’t answer when i confronted her about it. anyway, to the point - she told me today that the doctors told her she needs to take 2 weeks to rest. do i find a new baby sitter or do i take her situation into consideration and just give her a pass? and with a side note, she’s my friend, i really don’t know what to do! ☹️
