Divorce topic. Advice please.

My brother got married to this girl here in Michigan, a couple months later she got pregnant, and scared so she moved back with her parents in Wyoming. My brother moved with her, even though he didn't want too. Well, when they got there my brother got a house and supported them all. After the baby was born, she moved to her parents, and started seeing another guy.

Recently my mom was diagnosed with Cancer, and my brother was asked to come back to help. He talked to his wife about this and they set up an agreement that he would just send her money to support their daughter. Well, 2 days before he left she went and filed for divorce. My brother left anyway, and now the cops are trying to get a hold of him down there to suerve him divorce papers. He has no housing or anything down there anymore, as he sold it all for money to come up here.

What can he do? If they got married in Michigan, don't she have to come up here and get a divorce now?
