How soon after belly drops does baby usually come?

I am 35 weeks pregnant and everyone keeps telling me that my belly has dropped. What does this mean? I was told that this means that baby is coming anytime from now. What??!! I am only 35 weeks pregnant and I pray to carry my baby full term. I am starting to panic

it doesn't mean anything :-) babies can engage and disengage. my son was so low at 28 weeks that they can no longer measure his head and I carried to full-term. some women never even noticed that their baby has dropped and some babies don't drop until right before Labor. it really doesn't mean anything

Some babies don't drop until a woman is in labor. It's not a great sign of labor at least not without other signs.

My baby dropped at 33 wks and I'm still pregnant at 38 wks and getting induced at 39 wks.
