39 week induction ???

Question

So I went to the hospital this morning to be induced, well instead I got sent home cause baby is just floating around. He’s been head down for the last 4 weeks, and all of a sudden this? He’s my 3rd and I’m so annoyed.. especially since I had an ultrasound over 2 weeks ago and he was over 7lbs already... what can I do to even help start labor??

So I went in Friday to be induced for several reasons and was sent home because I was only 38 weeks and 4 days. I was informed I had to be 39 weeks. Now I'm at home trying everything, evening primrose oil, spicy foods, bouncing on ball, etc.  
I have had contractions for 3 weeks plus and I'm tired! Lol

My daughter was born Friday by planned c section but had been head down. Just before surgery she had shifted and was high, transverse and pretty much stuck. 😂didn’t really make much difference to us but just shows they don’t need much room to turn etc. Your baby might turn back.

I tried everything to start labor but nothing worked I was induced at 40+3 last year. Just be patient and stay occupied even if it's watching Tv and resting

Nothing works for me , that’s why I’m no longer a candidate for induction Baby is floating and no dilation but because of size I’m having a scheduled csection... now that that plan is in place she better stay put til then lol

I thought when scheduled an induction that you do not leave the hospital without baby?

Ultrasounds for guessing weight are notoriously inaccurate. They can vary in either direction by a couple lbs. Don’t take those measurements to heart, they really need to stop telling moms baby’s weight because it is physically impossible to know.
I personally was told my oldest was 8lbs.. born 6.5. Similar with my second. Refusing weight guesses with this one. They just aren’t accurate at all and stress mom out unnecessarily.

I’m not sure if there is anything really... but they always suggest sex, eating spicy foods, red raspberry leaf tea, walking, squats, bouncing on an exercise ball.... I don’t know if they actually work or not though, I’ve been doing them and I’m still here at almost 39 weeks with no baby! Seems like your situation is more about getting the baby to position him/herself though so I’m not sure how much those would help you. Maybe walking!
