What did you learn in college?

I'm just curious. I am in my second year of college and I feel as though I am growing and learning so much about myself and about life in general. Would love to hear from you all: 
What are some of the most important things you learned about yourself/others/the world when you went through or came of of college.? 
And/or what were some important things  you learned in early adulthood in general, even if you didn't go to college?

Independence. I have a twin sister who is my absolute best friend ever. I have been dependent on her since birth. Going to college kind of forced me to step out of that. I was always pretty socially anxious and nervous to begin with, but being alone would make that so much worse. I wouldn’t do an activity like a sport or something unless my sister of one of my friends did it too. I also wouldn’t order my own food at a restaurant. I was in an abusive relationship prior to college and that heavily enables the unhealthy behavior of not doing anything for myself. After a year of college, I was able to go pretty much anywhere by myself, including sit down restaurants, which is pretty amazing. I make my own doctors appointments and attend them by myself. I’ve taken the initiative to seek counseling by myself and now I co lead a support group for victims of domestic abuse.
