So there’s this article on one of snapchats newsfeed things saying how people are pissed because Kim dressed up as Aaliyah. So that got me wondering, is it not okay for people to dress up as people they admire? I’m not sure if Kim admires Aaliyah or anything, but say someone white admired her and dressed up as her (without black fact) is that cultural appropriation? And with that being said, if you think so, then I’m guessing it’s wrong for kids to be dressing up as Moana or Else or any super hero or princess unless they’re from Hawaii, Germany, etc. right?
