My best friend has been in a relationship with a guy for 4 years but has recently been cheating on him with a guy she randomly met.. they've met up & hooked up quite a few times since then. Her boyfriend has no idea and treats her pretty well. She doesn't feel guilty about it and doesn't plan on telling him about the affair. Would you tell the guy for his sake and risk your best friend hating you? Or let them figure it out on their own?

She doesn’t sound like a good friend I guess? I would let the guy know because if I was being cheated on, I would want to know. Your best friend shouldn’t do it and she don’t even feel guilty over it. That’s just plain fucked up. Please let the guy know before he decided to marry this bitch and one day end up divorcing. Friendship is important but I think morales and integrity is also important. She’s wrong and she’s gonna face it.

If there was a way to inform him anonymously or guide him to the truth somehow, I would take that route. I would express with so much intensity and clarity how much I thought her actions and behavior were wrong. Karma will come, whether she wises up or not.

This happened to me. My ‘best friend’ from high school was cheating on her boyfriend of 5 years (when she was 20). I absolutely despise cheating and I wasn’t a big fan of her boyfriend but it wasn’t my place to tell him. She invited me to his 21st birthday after I found out. Knowing I couldn’t keep a secret if I was drinking and also knowing I hated what she was doing, I ended our friendship instead.
