SPRINTEC PLS HELP ME!

Just started taking the pill Sprintec and TOTALLY confused on how to do it. first time on birth control and Dr prescribed me to this one. . I started my period on Halloween so I took the Tuesday and my bf says i messed up and should've took the first pill even tho it said sunday. it's blue. there's also these white sugar pills. WHEN DO I TAKE THOSE ONES?! I've read the instructions from top to fuckin bottom and still don't get it. I'm beyond scared my boyfriend keeps yelling at me. I never even wanted the stupid birth control. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!
