Anyone think it's weird that businesses bribe you to get a flu shot?

I've noticed that many businesses (grocery stores, target, CVS/Walgreens) give gift cards and free food if you get a flu shot... I just think it's weird to offer something free and a little gift for getting it. 
I don't think it's not a clever tactic to help motivate people, i think it's weird.

My company offers incentives for meeting step goals and other healthy behavior like going in for a yearly physical.
Does that gift card mean I shouldnt be healthy? No. People are just more likely to do something (including the right thing) if theres an obvious reward or benefit.

I wish we got incentives (nurse), if we don’t get the flu shot we have to wear a mask.  Not complaining.. but a gift card somewhere would be nice! Haha 😆

those are placed where they get a lot of foot traffic and people are around strangers. its called watching out for public health. its called people like incentives and a lot more people will do something if theres an incentive
