⁉️NEED SOME HELP😩⁉️

I was spotting for almost 10 days and I’ve been having sex with my boyfriend since 2 days after my period which started on the 3rd. I’ve been spotting on and off for the last 10 days and now it’s stopped. Now I went to the hospital and I took a pregnancy test and it came out negative. I was thinking maybe because it was too early too test. The doctor said if I haven’t been burning down stairs when I pee and all that then he can rule out an STD. But he didn’t actually take any samples just to make sure🤷🏽‍♀️ but now That it stopped around the time I’m supposed to actually start bleeding should I wait a few days to test?
