Too old to have another baby??

Question

So I have been suggesting to my husband I would love for our 11 month old son to have a sibling and his response is we are too old 😢 I will be 34 on Nov29th and he just turned 35. I am crushed..heartbroken...too old?? I don't know who or where he got this information from but how can I convince him otherwise? I don't want my son to be an only child :(

Not Old at all. U had ur first 2 years ago so u were 33, how’s 35 any diff?? He might just not want kids again.

I'm 37 with a one year old daughter. I feel old compared to some moms but that doesn't really matter bc my life is so fulfilled as a mother.

They will call it a geriatric pregnancy. Don’t let this sway you. You’re not too old. My friends Mom was 45. They tried for years and years and years.

In my opinion, as long as your doctor gives you the okay, go for it! Complications can happen at any age so I don’t think it’s any reason to stop having children. 
I’m 19 and my son was born with two heart defects. Anything can happen

Your son is only 11 months old so you obviously aren't too old! Is he worried about being too old to physically get pregnant or he doesn't want to be too old to run around with them as they grow up Or wanting the kids out of the house sooner? Either way you've got an 11 month old. If you got pregnant right away there would be less than 2 years between them so it wouldn't be a huge effect on when the kids were "out of the house" or playing with them or anything like that. And it's not like in the last 20 months your bodies are suddenly so old you can't get pregnant again. I'd talk to him and see if there's another reason. I don't buy the "too old" excuse, because you obviously aren't!

I'm a firstborn and my mom had me at 36. My little brother is ten years younger. You have a drop in fertility at 35, but it's hardly impossible.

nope not too old at all in my opinion. I would say your age is pretty average these days to have kids. I didn't want my son to be an only child either and now I'm pregnant with my second. my hubby didn't take much convincing but a friend of mine was going through something similar and her husband didn't want to have a second. she made him think about life as an only child, and it helped because her husband couldn't picture his life without siblings in it. it's always nice to have a sibling to relate to. not only a child but especially later on in life when things get more difficult!

He told me he heard that this is when complications happen. And with our first we had to do genetic testing which thank goodness everything was fine but it def scared him thinking that something was wrong with our baby. He also has an older brother so I did try the only child scare but he claims he would have gathered be an only child..its obvious hos parents favor hos brother so idk I'm guessing that def took affect on him.
