I asked my wife to marry me 12 times before she said yes.  It's not about the number, It's about what you want and believe that person is worth.  I would have kept asking my wife beyond 12 times if it took that long because I believed we were right for each other and that she was worth it.
  I asked other girls on dates 1 time and then left it at that because I didn't think they were worth pursuing. Its entirely up to you, just know that the increasing amount of rejection you face does not define the flaws in your character.  It defines the strength.  Good luck!  Hope this helps!
