How many days after your due date is good to do a Preg test?

My husband and I been TTC for over a year and haven't gotten pregnant yet, it is sad when AF arrives and I get disappointed sometimes, we want this baby so bad and now I'm late 5 days, the weekend that just passed I got nauseous when smelled hamburger meat, didn't puke cause my husband made have ginger tea but I had diarrhea instead with stomach each and couldn't sleep too good that night. 
Could I be pregnant? Are those signs? When it's the best time to get a PT?

I tested a day or two before my missed period and got a BFP so I'd say definitely go ahead and test!

I'm 8/9 days late. I was pregnant in 2013 that ended in miscarriage & got a bfp at a regular check up at 6 weeks pregnant. So I decided to wait til I was or near 6 weeks pregnant so the HCG levels could be picked up. It's a hard wait because I get excited and talk more about baby stuff 😍😍👶🏻✨

I did it and it's a BFN. I want to think it's too soon and maybe the HGC levels are too low. It was so sad when I saw the "not pregnant" sign. Hope I have my lil bean inside.
