Zika virus still present in Miami?

Question

We live from UK where cases of Zika were not reported, talked to my GP before my trip and he had no special recommendations apart from stay hydrated and keep meals regularly to avoid nausea. I'm now very concerned because I did not took any special precaution and it just arrived to my knowledge that Miami was previously a high risk area. Is that still the case? Anyone from Miami here?

Thank you for the replies ladies. We have our flight back scheduled for next Monday. Already got a bug spray so I will use it religiously and take all the other precautions from now on. I'm very sad because I've got bitten this morning. I'm praying for God's protection and hoping all will be fine.

From the cdc website:
CDC previously issued guidance related to Zika for people living in or traveling to Miami-Dade County, Florida, which advised that pregnant women not travel to this area due to local transmission of Zika virus. CDC designates areas for Zika virus transmission prevention in the continental United States and Hawaii as red or yellow. Miami-Dade County was previously designated as a Zika cautionary (yellow) area, but that designation was removed on June 2, 2017. This means that there are no longer any travel recommendations related to Zika virus for Miami-Dade County, Florida. Although the level of risk of Zika virus transmission after a yellow area is removed is not known, it is likely to be low. However, sporadic cases may still occur. For this reason, CDC recommends that people living in or traveling to Miami-Dade County continue to protect themselves from mosquito-borne illnesses, including Zika virus, by following the guidance below. please wear a bug spray and u will be fine. I live in Florida and just don't travel to places that are large hibernating places for mosquitos or stay out after sun down when they tend to come out.

I was in Miami from 9-10 weeks on vacation. Just wear big spray.  I didn’t get any bites at all.

Just googled it and just an hour ago they found new cases. Soooo yes still a thing. Sorry.
