Dental App when preggo??

Hi ladies first time mommy 2 be here, my pregnancy councilor reccomended me to go to the dentist, she said it’s very important especially when pregnant, I don’t want to get any kind of infection and not know about it. Today I made my app but the lady asked if I was okay with getting X-rays done? I don’t know what to do I’m 14 weeks and I don’t want to put my baby in any danger, have any of you ladies gone to the pregnant dental check up?

Do not get an x-ray. If you tell them you're pregnant they should know that's potentially harmful to the baby. A regular cleaning is fine though.

My dentist will not do any X-rays or dental work while I’m pregnant, just cleanings.

You can either do the x-rays and ask them to double the cover over your chest / stomach, or skip them. If you need them, I'd do them but for a regular cleaning you can skip them. I had a cleaning while pregnant and just went back, they did them this time.

I get the x Ray all the time they never ask. But they ask if I’m pregnant and if I am they put the gown or whatever it’s called to cover my stomach so the baby won’t be exposed to any radiation. The x Ray just goes around your head(at least the one I go to does)
