I failed my 1 hr glucose test.... pretty bummed. 3 hr scheduled for later this wk. I have PCOS and I take metformin to regulate my cycles and everything, have for years. I took it with my son up to 12 weeks. this time, a new dr in the practice told me to stop at 6wks. my next visit I saw my regular nurse practitioner and she was very shocked by the news of me stopping it at 6wks. she proceeded to say that she'll let the dr know that in that office, 12 wks is standard. I can't help but wonder if I had taken it through 12 wks, would I have failed? i am overweight and type 2 runs in the family, heavily. guess we will see what happens. shoulda, coulda, woulda... sorry for the vent, just irritated.
