diagnosed with fibromyalgia...

So after years of severe pain, it's just getting worse and I got told I have fibromyalgia. it hurts everywhere especially in my hips. to the point I can't even have sex with my husband without crying. the rheumatologist just gave me gabapentin and a muscle relaxer. anyone else have advice? I'm iffy about taking the gabapentin as I've heard a lot of bad things and the muscle relaxers don't work. would my pain management doctor help more now that I have a diagnosis? this is new to me so any advice is appreciated
