My boyfriend hates his mom.

Every time my boyfriend talks about his mom, he has so much hate towards her. There is never any love or anything positive for him to say. Just bad vibes. She is not a bad woman. She’s just Christian. He hates her because he doesn’t believe in religion so he feels she lied to him growing up about teaching him the Bible. Like he’s very pissed she taught him the story of Noah’s Ark and he went to school as a little boy saying that Noah talked to the animals to get them on the boat and people laughed at him. I told him she didn’t do anything any different than any other religious parent raising a child. He also feels she didn’t show him enough affection but she busted her ass for all 6 of her children to get a decent education. She couldn’t afford private school any longer so she gave them a choice and he chose public school to be with his friends. Now as an adult, he’s angry at his mother for not steering him in the right direction and keeping him in private school. These are the things he harbors towards his own mother and I️ can’t understand why. When I asked what if your child hated you for being atheist and said you’ve been lying to him all of these years because of your beliefs, That’s pretty unfair to you don’t you think ? I also said his mom probably wasn’t raised with a lot of affection. She’s only human. I️t didn’t mean she doesn’t love you. He begin snapping at me saying I’m defending her.. I just told him he’s harboring lots of anger and she shouldn’t be faulted for her beliefs.. I told him he needs healing. So now he doesn’t want to talk to me because he said I’m trying to change his mind after he’s felt this way for years and now I’m trying to tell him he’s wrong for feeling shes a liar. I said do you want to stay angry at your mom for life ? He said no but I️t makes me question our own relationship ? Am I looking to deep into I️t ?
