Dairy free cheese?

I've just started a dairy free diet in hopes of helping my LO's eczema. I don't mind the butter and milk substitutes, but the cheese??

Please give me recommendations for a dairy free cheese that tastes like the real thing!!

Herbivorous Butcher (online). Chao cheese.   Nutritional yeast can achieve a cheesy-like flavor when mixed into things. I put it on popcorn.

Do they have Veggie Grill near you? Their vegan mac and cheese is the only decent fake cheese I've had.

I found all cheese substitutes disappointing. It was better to just not substitute it.

Cashew cheese isn't bad, but it really depends on what you want to do with it. I have yet to find a good, melty cheese that's df, but for crumbled or shredded, I enjoy the cashew one.
