How do I prepare for my vaccines?

Tommorow I’m getting two vaccines and I’m very nervous. What should I do tommmorow BEFORE I get my needles? What should I do DURING the needle process? And what should I do AFTER?

I was told after you get the vaccines to move that arm a lot. Its gonna be sore but the more you move around the less sore it will be. The quicker it will go away. Thats what the nurse told me.

I’ve never done anything to prepare— body and after. Not sure what can be done beforehand, but afterwards just try to rest as much as you can because you will be sore.

Before my vaccines i relax. Usually i say to myself, “Come on lets just get this over with.” During the process don’t look at it. What i do is i grab the side of the bed they have you sit on and squeeze the side if it hurts. Right away after they put the bandaids on i move them as much as i can so they won’t be sore after.

they’re just shots....... pinch your wrist as hard as you can when they do it and you won’t feel it

Try and relax, it’s not that big of a deal. And during, just don’t look at the needle ever, then after move your arm like normal throughout the day to prevent extra soreness. But they’re over quickly :)

I find I'm much calmer if I don't watch the needle. I pick a spot in the room and look at it until the needle is in my arm. If I look before I tense up anticipating pain.

What vaccines? You can take a Tylenol beforehand to help with any soreness but other than that, just breathe.
