Breakup venting(UPDATE)

My boyfriend of 10 months and I broke up. I didn't want to breakup because I actually cared for him and saw myself with him for a long time. Our relationship was doing okay up until recently when he started hanging out with friends and drinking till the wee hours of the morning. He began ignoring me and avoiding me, he wouldn't answer my texts or calls. This passive aggressive behavior continued for over 2 weeks stating that he was upset blah blah blah. Until he said he was done because apparently I never liked him. Which doesn't make sense because if I didn't like him I wouldn't have stuck around for 10 months. I feel like the real reason for the breakup was because I was "in the way of his fun". Needless to say he broke up with me via text(27 year old man). Did I dodge a bullet here? Update: it hasn't even been a week and he already has someone new... I just can't girls, I can't deal with this anymore
