Abnormal Period or Chemical Pregnancy?

We’ve been TTC for 11 months now with no success. My periods never really returned to normal after stopping BC... I usually have 2 days of light spotting (only when i wipe) and then maybe a few hours to a day of heavier bleeding some months.

This month my period should have started last Monday but nothing came. Then I spotted brown on Thursday, had bright red bleeding and a bloated feeling on Saturday (but never needed a tampon) and then it went away. I took three pregnancy tests throughout the week (Monday, Friday, and Sunday) and they were all negative.

Does anyone else have weird periods/spotting like this while TTC?

I’ve had really bad lower back pain for about a week now. Today (Tuesday) I have horrible cramps and bloating, and now I have heavy CM mixed with a lot of burgundy/wine colored blood/discharge. (This would technically be day 4 or 5 of my cycle, but 9-11 days after it should have started).

Has this happened to anyone else? Was this a chemical pregnancy? Is this something I should even be bothering my ob with?
