Sex on IUD

Hi everyone,

So I just got my first Mirena IUD inserted exactly a week ago, and my gynecologist told me to wait 7 days before it became effective. I had unprotected sex today with my boyfriend. I was just hoping to hear some advice to ease my mind, I know I was protected but I’ve never had an IUD before! Thank you so much, id love to hear about your experiences w the Mirena as well ❤️
